Anas Hamad, PhD, MSc
Dr. Anas Hamad is a highly qualified and experienced senior healthcare executive, pharmacist, researcher, and healthcare educator. In addition to his roles at the Qatar National Center for Cancer Care & Research and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Dr. Hamad also holds an adjunct position at Qatar University (QU) as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy & Practice. He is also chairs the Standing Committee on Medication Services at Qatar Red Crescent Society and serves as the Vice President & Director of ISPOR Qatar Chapter.
Dr. Anas completed his BSc in Pharmacy at the University of Jordan. He obtained his MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice & Policy from the University of London and his PhD in Clinical Practice & Medication Use from King's College London. He acquired an Executive Diploma in Health Services Management from GSM London and completed the Executive Leaders Program with Qatar Leadership Centre.
Dr. Anas is an active researcher with multiple publications and conference proceedings to his name. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and review editor for Frontiers in Oncology. In addition, he regularly speaks at local and international conferences. Dr. Anas is a member of both HMC’s and QU’s Institutional Review Boards in addition to sitting on various committees focusing on pharmacy practice, medication use, cancer care, research, patient safety and quality, and government tenders.
