Joel Anison
Joel Anison works as a Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy, at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). He has completed his Masters in Physical Therapy (Pediatric Neurology) in 2003 from Dr. M.G.R Medical University, India. Currently he is pursuing his PhD in Pediatric Physical Therapy from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. His PhD research aims on developing recommendations for the implementations of Family-Centered-Care practices in Pediatric Rehabilitation in Qatar.
Prior to joining HMC, he has held both academic and clinical positions such as Assistant professor/ Pediatric Physical Therapy Clinical Lead at Indore Institute of Medical Sciences and as Vice Principal/ Head of the Department at Choithram College of Physiotherapy, Indore India.
He is a lead Investigator in several research studies carried out at HMC. He has done several research presentations in both local and International pediatric rehabilitation conferences. He has been a recipient of the competitive, Internal Research Grant Cycle (IRGC) funding at HMC. He is passionate about the delivery of Family-Centered-Care for children and their caregivers with neuromotor disabilities. He is enthusiastic about both formal and informal knowledge-translation efforts to facilitate the uptake of Evidence-Based-Practices in Pediatric Rehabilitation.
