Summary

The Program is intended for healthcare practitioners. It introduces participants to the field of Medical Humanities and emphasizes the value of a humanistic perspective in improving clinical outcomes and practitioners' self-care. Obtaining a certificate requires completing four modules that revolve around the skills and values associated with narrative medicine and art therapy. Activities include group discussions, reflection on assigned multimodal texts and journal writing. In the last module participants are asked to write a paper building on their experiential knowledge and on what they have learned in the modules.

Schedule

The total duration of the course is 67 hours. It blends asynchronous and synchronous mode of delivery including four online modules (60 hours) and online live (7 hours). The asynchronous program will be available on the learning management system.
