Salman Riaz
Dr Salman Riaz is the Director of Simulation Education at Itqan Clinical Simulation & Innovation
Center, a highly qualified educationalist with more than a decade of experience in leading and
delivering simulation-based education in the UK and the Middle East. He specialises in simulation-
based education, faculty development, human factors, and interprofessional learning. Prominent
achievements to his credit include establishing a simulation centre and obtaining accreditation
from SSH within two years, developing and implementing Simulation Fellowship and
Standardised Patient programs within the same year, and implementing interprofessional
education. Being a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators (AoME), a former Lecturer at
King’s College London, and an active researcher with numerous publications in curriculum design,
teaching innovation, and patient safety, Dr. Salman is dedicated to positioning Itqan as a leading
regional and international hub for simulation education, human factors and patient safety.
