Thank you for your interest in presenting at the Medical Education and Technology Conference (METC 2025). We welcome abstract submissions from scientists, educators, and professionals in academia, healthcare, government, and industry working in the field of medical education and healthcare innovation.

Innovations in Technology-Enhanced Learning with a focus on artificial intelligence and the metaverse
Equity, Inclusion, and Global Perspectives in Medical Education in the context of emerging technologies
Humanism and Professional Identity Formation in Medical Education in the high-tech era
Ethical and Legal Implications of Educational Technologies

All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and must be relevant to the conference theme. To ensure a diverse range of contributions each participant may only submit one abstract as "presenting author" while participants may be listed as co-authors on multiple abstracts. Participants may co-author additional abstracts but cannot be the presenting and submitting author for such poster. The submitting author is responsible for notifying all co-authors. Announcements of selected abstracts for oral presentation will be made at the beginning of August 2025. 

All presenters must register online for the conference.
Oral presenters must register (and pay) by August 17, 2025, to secure agenda spot.
Poster presenters must register (and pay) by September 14, 2025.
Complete instructions for oral and poster presentations will be provided upon notification of acceptance.

 

Abstract Requirements

Title: Limited to 15 words, descriptive, with all acronyms spelled out. No ending punctuation or quotation marks.
Length: Maximum 250 words (abstract only, excluding the title).
Format: Background / Materials and Methods / Results / Conclusions.
Submitters will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of their abstract.

Low and Middle-Income Country Awards (LMICA)

We are pleased to announce the Low and Middle-Income Country Awards (LMICA) for METC 2025. Attendees from low and middle-income countries are eligible to apply for a Travel Award to support their attendance at the conference. Two recipients will be selected based on abstract assessment. For these winners, airfare will be provided along with complimentary conference registration to offset travel expenses. Award recipients will be notified by September 1st, 2025.

Eligibility for LMICA applicants:
  • Current residence and study/work in a low-income and middle-income country (please view here).
  • Submission of an abstract for poster presentation with the LMICA Travel Award option selected.
