Anna Halama, PhD
Dr. Anna Halama is an Assistant Professor of Research in Physiology and Biophysics in the Medical Education Division. She is committed to advancing precision medicine through integrative omics solutions. Dr. Halama research focuses on understanding the metabolic intricacies of complex diseases such as cancer and diabetes, for which she secured funding from national and international funding institutions. Her research outcomes were presented in over 40 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals.
Beyond research Dr. Halama is dedicated to teaching a new generation of clinicians and scientists by using technologies and creativity to bring attention and engagement. She is probing a gaming and virtual reality (VR) approach as strategy for more efficient knowledge delivery.
