Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for the maintenance of student records. The office provides registration support to the pre-medical curriculum and medical curriculum programs including program scheduling, preparing grade reports, managing student policy database, and reporting statistical data. The office oversees student certification and document preparation (pertaining to the licensure of graduates). Additionally, the office is also directly involved in the residency application process – ERAS.

Mission

The mission of the Office of the Registrar is to deliver high-quality business practices, and to provide accurate data management of academic records that support the student cycle from enrollment to post graduation.

Release of Grades

As an overseas location of Cornell University , we comply with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). It is a US federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.

It is important for students to familiarize themselves with how this policy protects educational records and directory information.

Directory Information

Directory information is personal information about a student that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy and may be released without consent. Cornell University has defined directory information to include a student's name, local address, local telephone listing, email listing, college of enrollment, major field of study, enrollment status, participation in officially recognized activities and sports, weight and height (if members of athletic teams), dates of attendance, degrees and awards received.
