Welcome to the Research Compliance division of the Office of Research at WCMC-Q. Our mission is to provide oversight, administrative support and educational training concerning regulatory and ethical issues related to human, animal and basic science research. The Research Compliance division is dedicated to ensuring that all WCMC-Q research is conducted according to applicable regulations, international ethical standards and University policy.

Please note that the approval and relevant trainings outlined here are required of all research projects and researchers before any project work commences.

These pages were developed both to guide the new researcher (research assistants, student researchers, etc.) through the approval process, and to provide easy access to detailed information and links to internal and external resources for researchers of all experience levels.

The pages to follow will detail those requirements, introduce you to the WCMC-Q Institutional Review Board and Scientific Review Committee , and provide access to a number of resources and references of use.
