Dr. Wessam Gadelhak, MBBch

I am an Immune-Haematology specialist, currently holding the position of a clinical research coordinator at MERAC at Weill Cornell Medical College –Qatar. I earned my MBBch degree at Ain Shams University in Egypt. Prior to joining WCMC-Q, I worked as the Head of Issuing of Blood and its Components Department at the National Blood Transfusion center in Egypt, in collaboration with the Swiss Red Cross. I have also been as a cascade trainer of Blood Transfusion Medicine, as well as lecturer of Quality Management in Blood Transfusion Medicine courses.

I earned a Health Science Degree from California State University, Fullerton in 2008. Prior to my coming to Qatar, I worked as Clinical Research Assistant in the Epidemiology Department for Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, in Los Angeles California. I moved to Qatar with my family in 2011 and shortly after, I joined Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC-Q) as Clinical Research Coordinator for the Bipolar Affective Disorder Project. I am currently a team member working for the Middle East Rheumatoid Arthritis Consortium (MERAC).
