WCMC-Q inducted the class of 2013 into the medical world during the annual White Coat Ceremony. Forty-one students participated in the ceremony, considered a traditional rite of passage where the new doctors-in-training first don the symbolic emblems of their new roles as doctors.

73 new freshmen joined the Pre-Medical and Foundation Programs in opening exercises on August 18, part of three days of orientation activities for the new students.

Dr. Ahmad Teebi, WCMC-Q professor of pediatrics and genetic medicine, talks about his role in Qatar’s newborn screening program—a collaboration between Hamad Medical Corporation and Heidelberg University, Germany.

Through time in New York City laboratories and hospital wards, two local high school students began to realize their dreams of being doctors.

WQCMC-Q is adding a third year to its existing two-year, pre-medical program for students who join in August 2010 and later.
