My name is Mena Mekhaimar, I am currently a second-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. I am from Egypt and have been living in Qatar for the past six years. I really enjoy getting involved with college events and student wellness is very important to me. I was previously the vice president of the Medical Students Executive Council and enjoyed being a representative and a voice for students. I also planned several of the college’s annual student events during my time on the council and it was extremely fulfilling seeing each event come together.

I have also served as orientation leader for incoming students to plan their orientation week and be there to welcome them to the college. Studying medicine has so far been really interesting and I cannot wait to be more involved with patient care as I make my way into the more clinical years of medical school and then in the future as a physician. I try to make time to do things outside of the college and I am currently really enjoying going to the gym whenever I can. Traveling is something I am very keen on and my favorite city is New York.
