Medical Student
Class of 2019
Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar
Doha, Qatar

Ms. Hanof Ahmed is currently a third-year medical student at WCM-Q. She was born and raised in Qatar. Her passion for medicine began at a relatively young age for which she pursued countless experiences such as attending medical conferences and volunteering at Hamad General Hospital. She believes that experiences shape an individual’s character; thus, a successful physician actively samples the surrounding environment for a holistic approach to everyday life as with critical thinking in medical care.

Ms. Hanof endeavors to acquire a wide range of experiences. For example, she is an active member of the Medical Student Executive Council, a Peer Consultant at the WCM-Q Writing Center, a member of the WCM-Q women’s basketball team and is taking part in several active research projects. Her local experiences have been complimented with oversees experiences at Harvard University and Cornell University for summer courses and volunteering at a local Hospital in Egypt. “Absorb experiences and learn from them. Grow as a person and remember to give back. Being successful involves nourishing your physical, mental and emotional virtues,” she says.
