Faten Shunnar, BA, MA
Ms. Faten Shunnar obtained her BA in English Literature from Jordan University and worked with the Social Development Team at the Jordan United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for nine years. She worked as a Project Coordinator for several projects related to poverty eradication and micro finance.
Ms. Faten moved to Qatar with her family in 2005. She started her career life in Doha as a translator at David Atkins Enterprises, the official organizer of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Doha Asian Games in 2006. In May 2007, she joined Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar as the Events Coordinator where she organized the inaugural graduation ceremony for the Class of 2008.
Ms. Faten enjoys working with students whose enthusiasm motivates her to come to work every day. She obtained her online Master’s degree in business communication and project management in 2012 from Jones International University,USA.
Ms. Faten is a strong advocate for students. Her mission is to help create a welcoming and comfortable environment that will enhance students’ development and growth during their studies at the college. Ms. Faten became the Director of Student Affairs at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar in March 2017.
