Dr. Ahmad Latif is a physician, web editor and author with a special interest in workplace health promotion. He has been working with the healthcare department at Qatar Petroleum since 2008 and heads the workplace health promotion program. Dr. Latif is a web editor of fittowork.net; a workers' wellness website and tabibuk.com an Arabic health education website.

Dr. Latif has served in several hospitals and healthcare centers in Syria, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. In addition to his extensive experience of 18 years in clinical practice and writing, Dr. Latif has regularly delivered talks, and workshops geared towards promoting school and workplace health. Dr. Latif chaired the scientific committee of the second Qatar petroleum Occupational Health conference in 2013.

Dr. Latif graduated with a Doctor of Medicine Diploma (MD) from the Damascus university in 1992. He obtained his master’s degree in internal medicine specialization from the Syrian Ministry of Health, Qualification and Training department in 1998. In 2009, Dr. Latif obtained a Diploma in Occupational Medicine from the Royal college of Physicians, Faculty of Occupational Medicine, UK. He completed his Master of Science in Public Health degree from the University of London in 2014. He has a Tobacco Treatment Specialist certification from the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center.
