Dr. Taher Giaedi is the Chief Operating Officer with the Qatar Red Crescent Society Medical Affairs Division, which manages a number of healthcare centers providing services for single, male labor workers in the State of Qatar.

Dr. Giaedi obtained his BA in political science and his Masters in Health Administration. from the University of Kentucky. He then worked on a fellowship in Healthcare Strategic Planning US Department of Veterans Affairs. Upon finishing the fellowship, he accepted a position with the VA to work as a Program Analyst with the Louisville VA Medical Center in the Quality Department.

Dr. Giaedi continued his career with the Department of Veteran Affairs and is now the Chief of Health Administration at the Richmond VA Medical Center. In his fourth year in this position, he is in charge of the administration portion of the hospital, where he leads the medical records, coding, benefits and eligibility, and the administrative staff in the clinics.

While growing through the ranks of the system, he worked on his Doctorate in Health Administration, and obtained his degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Giaedi has been working with students for 10 years. He has served in the role of preceptor and mentor for a number of students pursuing their masters in health administration. He has also served as a committee member for PhD students in Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Giaedi has an interest in the role culture in healthcare organizations. While pursuing his Doctorate degree, he worked on a research project, “Using Structural Equation Model to Study the Impact of Organizational Culture and Nursing Work Environment in Nursing and Patient Satisfaction”.He has also participated in a research project “Organizational Culture, Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intentions: The Mediating Role of Perceived Organizational Support”.
