The inaugural Medical Education Research Forum is a venue for knowledge transfer and showcasing evolutionary pedagogical innovations in teaching and learning across the medical education continuum from undergraduate level to clinical practice. This one-day forum is designed to be a highly interactive meeting. Our keynote speakers are world-renowned and engaged in endeavors that will help build international standards for the practice of medicine. Furthermore, the forum will feature work being conducted at WCM-Q, and with multiple regional collaborators that will impact education and training in the region. Participants will have opportunities to discuss medical education trends and to: a. inform the transfer of medical education practice; and b. identify potential collaborative opportunities and partnership that will continue to enhance medical education.

Educational Practice Gaps and Needs

In the medical and health practice in general, there is a lack of knowledge in regard to updates in medical education research. Healthcare practitioners in Qatar are not kept abreast of current issues in medical education, and about means of researching teaching and developing evidence-based teaching. Participants need more skills to apply current concepts in medical education. Raising participants' awareness about current issues in medical education, and about means of researching teaching and developing evidence-based teaching will be reflected eventually on doctors' performance and competence.

Target Audience

This forum is designed for Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Dentists, Researchers, Educators and Students.
