Marta Fadda
Marta Fadda is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences of the Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Health, Ethics and Policy Lab of ETH Zurich. Her research interests lie at the intersection between communication, ethics and new technologies in the healthcare sector, with a special look at contextual definitions of health literacy and patient empowerment. She authored one of the earliest articles on the assessment of health literacy in the Middle East in collaboration with the American University of Beirut (Fadda et al., 2018) and she is an active reviewer of studies that attempt to validate health literacy measurement tools in Arabic-speaking countries.
