Dr. Zahirovic joined Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar (WCM-Q) as Assistant Professor of Medicine in January 2017. Dr. Zahirovic obtained her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar in 2011. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey, where she also served as a chief resident, and her fellowship in Rheumatology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Rheumatology by the American Board of Rheumatology. She is a member of Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Zahirovic’s research areas of interest include vasculitis, ankylosing spondylitis, sports injuries and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
