Guillaume is Director of Research at Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service (HMCAS), Professor of Simulation in Healthcare Education at the University of Hertfordshire (UK), and visiting Fellow at Northumbria University (UK).  He has been involved in healthcare education and research for nearly 2 decades, with a particular interest in teamwork and human factors training in relation to patient safety using various simulation modalities.  He is the HMCAS Executive Sponsor for projects undertaken by colleagues as part of the Clinical Care Improvement Training Programme.  He used to manage the University of Hertforshire's multiprofessional clinical simulation centre before relocating to Qatar, but retains his University affiliation for research supervision and consultancy purposes.  He recently co-authored the "Pocket book for Simulation debriefing in Healthcare" which is highly relevant for clinical educators and clinicians interested in bettering themselves and helping others to provide safe patient care by engaging in reflective discussions and critical thinking.
