This course which includes laboratory exercises, is a two-semester sequence, the second course being presented in the second year, and is oriented towards the application of physical principles to the function of biological systems and deals with such topics as flow in tubes, heat transfer, optics and acoustics.

This course covers mechanics, conservation laws, waves and topics from the thermal physics, fluids, acoustics, and properties of matter.
