Description

Gross Anatomy and Histology Teaching Assistants are expected to help prepare for dissection, attend anatomy clinical lectures, lab introductions, and exam prep sessions, instruct first- or second-year students during dissection, help with the student exam, and conduct review sessions. In addition they will participate similarly in histology labs. Students should contact Dr. Koshi at x8303 to determine when specific dissections will take place. In addition to those responsibilities for this elective, you must attend five supplemental teaching skills sessions, as well as brief orientation and evaluation sessions at the beginning and end of the course, develop 10 quiz questions, and complete a self-reflective essay (1-2 pages). Students will be contacted two weeks prior to the start of the elective to make arrangements for these other sessions. Any planned time away during the elective (e.g., interviews) must be submitted in writing no later than two weeks before the start of the elective.
