Description
Students will assist in the evaluation and management of patients with varying types of kidney diseases. This will include patients with fluid and electrolyte problems, glomerulonephritis, acute and chronic renal failure, as well as end-stage-renal-failure patients who are on dialysis therapy and those who have received a renal transplant. Those interested may also become involved in quality improvement or research activities related to renal disease, dialysis or transplantation. Pending availability, students can take the course for two or four weeks. Contact Marilyn Burman 1 week prior to start date for instructions.
