Dr. Mustafa Abdulkarim, of WCM-Q's Class 2016, earned second place at Qatar's 7th International Mental Health Conference presenting his poster entitled 'Auditing Pharmacological Management of Psychomotor Agitation'.
Dr. Abdulkarim assessed the management of psychomotor agitation at Hamad Medical Corporation'se inpatient psychiatry units. In line with international guidelines, the audit highlighted the importance of behavioral intervention and the prescription of oral medication, before resorting to parenteral tranquillizers.
