Dr. Kevin Smith is an Associate Professor at WCMC-Q with the shared responsibility for teaching the Organic Chemistry lectures and labs. With a Ph.D. from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dr. Smith was an Assistant Professor at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, before joining WCMC-Q.

Dr. Smith's areas of research interests are in natural product identification and structural elucidation with particular interest in compounds having biological activity related to medicinal and agricultural applications.
